It is officially over :( :(

>Well it is "summer over" for me :( The girls have next week off but I have lovely meetings next week... I think Craig is kinda glad it is over...it is always hard for him to go to work in the summer when we are all off :) (plus my trips to Marshalls will be minimal since i'm back to work) :) We had a great summer full of great memories...Today the girls had a swim party with 20 of their friends... it was a good time..pizza, cupcakes, and swimming!!

The summer in review...

Pretty soon the girls won't be able to stand in front of us :(

Go D-backs!!

In Early June we took my parents camping to Cottonwood...it was so pretty on the river..

In Early May (not really summer...Craig surprised me with a trip to Yankee Stadium...great time!!!

Minor setback :(

I did raise one smart little child :) I have been very strict with Codi's eating habits...no soda...making her try new fruits so she will have more options of healthy snacks...etc...what does she do??? She has spent the last day and a half hanging out at a friends house...ugg..I can't exactly keep track of her meals when she is not around!! Today she went with my friend and fellow teacher Brandi up to school to hang out with her daughter...later when I picked them up they were talking about the starburst, Dr. Pepper, and hersheys bar they indulged in!!! I think this will be easier to enforce when school starts and I send her with a good lunch!! She did mention she would like to hang out with her friend Victoria again tomorrow...I wonder why:)))

Great Family Day :)

It was a great family day today. We went to a bowling for our friends Logan's birthday party. It was a lot of fun...even the adults bowled in one lane...all of us being former athletes...it got a little competitive :) (although I did win :-)...then we headed to go see Craig's grandmother who is 90...we feel guilty that we don't go over there as often as we should. She doesn't hear real well and I swear that Craig will intentionally confuse her by mumbling on purpose...maybe he doesn't really mean to but it gets frustrating :) She is doing good. Codi did well with her eating again. Although at the birthday party of course they had cupcakes...not just any cupcakes...frickn cupcakes on steriods...they were from costco if that explains it...everything is big there :)

She will still love me :)

Well...day one done enforcing Codi to eat better :) She had an English Muffin w/peanut butter on it (new discovered favorite for her) for breakfast...a salami sandwich and strawberries for lunch...although I did have to put the salmi on the sandwich twice as the first time she tried to eat everything separate (who does that??) so...the tough love in me got more salami out and told her to eat the sandwich like a normal person. My pictures are of her lovely nutritious dinner...bbq ribs...potato and corn on the cob...notice the expression when she sees it and about a half an hour still trying to polish it off :)...shame on the doctor 8 years ago that told me to just give her what she will eat...where is that jerk now???

Try this again :)

Alright...maybe the second try the picture that i wanted will work...:) Sitting at home...no kids in the house ...Craig is off either mowing or looking at the new ranger...it is like the calm before the storm...last few days of mellow July before the craziness starts with meetings, school, vollleyball, making lunches, homework....ugg...the thougt somewhat depresses me...this is our most recent photo taken just this last weekend in Seattle (thank you Putz family) :) I will have more to share soon as I am on a mission to get Codi to eat better and not be so picky!!! :)

Bauer Family

I think that Kelsey should get some sort of cut from blogspot for her impact on people choosing to blog :) Not sure how good I will be with this...but what a great way to have documentation of your family and all of our experiences. So here we are :)
