Happy Father's Day

We celebrated Father's Day yesterday with a wonderful BBQ/swimming party. Craig and I are very lucky that both of our parents live so close and we can all hang out together and not have to do 2 sets of gatherings!! The kids swam most of the afternoon and we somehow got sucked in watching the US Open golf tournament....which wasn't really even that exciting!

The kids didn't have any fun or anything :=)

California Trip :-)

Carli, Codi, and I had a trip over to Anaheim planned to meet up with Kelsey and the kids...since they were in town from Chicago. About 3 days before we were going to leave I got an idea to surprise the girls. I told them we were leaving at 4am to drive over so we would have the entire day to spend with them. Little did they know that the Putz' weren't even in town yet. I drove straight to Disneyland. When we got close to the area where Kelsey's parents live...Carli started begging me..."please can't we just go...they live so close to Dland...please please"...It was an annoying 10 minutes of the car ride!!...Finally when I was by the parking lot...I told them yep we are gonna go in...then it took 5 minutes to convince them I was serious!!! It was an absolutely great day there...we rode everything and had some great mommy/daughter time :-)

When we first arrived...Carli was funny claiming she wished she had known so she could have done her hair a little nicer :-)

Codi enjoying her favorite Churro...I think she had a couple of them...(and I had 2 frozen bananas!!)

In front of It's a Small World...we usually go to Dland in February and this ride is usually closed from taking xmas decors down...so they were excited to get to enjoy this one!!

Kelsey and her sisters threw their mom a surprise Retirement Party...It was definitely the most genuine surprise I have ever seen...she had no clue...I was a little worried I would be standing in the corner not knowing anyone...Not the case...such nice people...and when you get all of the Kollens together...the volume goes a little up:-) Congrats again Peggy!!!

He is getting so big!!!

Kelsey took us to the beach one of the mornings...it was so relaxing and the girls enjoyed finding a bucket full of sea shells with the twins!

Hanging out by the pool

Such a fun weekend!!! Thanks Craig for letting us go do a little girl time...:-)
