Summer Sleep Overs

Summer break has officially began...Codi hasn't wasted any time at all hanging out with friends...She has had a sleep over the last 3 nights with friends :-)....all at our house!! :-) They have been so good and not too loud late so that Craig can sleep since he still has to get up for work!

A few weeks ago...Craig and Larry joined JJ on one of his working vacations as Kelsey calls them...they met him in San Francisco..did Napa on the off day and then went to LA for the Dodger series. I am still hearing some of the stories...sounds like they had a great time :0

Frontier Sports Banquet

This week Codi had her elementary sports banquet. Only 7th and 8th graders are allowed to participate in school sports so this year Codi was finally allowed to play :-) They celebrate all of the sports together at the end of the year. It is a cute celebration and with parents bringing in desserts to share. We seem to have a tradition sitting with the Nowlins and Hills with our kids all being on some team :-)

They call each sport up and recognize them, then at the end they do a few individual awards...this year Codi won the "Outstanding Newcomer Athlete" award.

Mother's Day 2011

We celebrated Mother's Day Sunday a little different than we have most of the time. With Craig's brother living 4 hours up north, Craig and I suggested that he and his parents meet him halfway for a late breakfast. They all met in Payson and enjoyed some much needed time together...I'm sure Craig's mom loved having both of her boys together!!

The girls and I got a few things done in the morning--they did all my laundry for me which I could get used to!!

Marci, my mom and I made a reservation for a Mother's Day Brunch---it was absolutely wonderful food and so nice to be just us hanging out!

Later in the afternoon, after both Craig and I were home from celebrating with our own moms, we loaded the girls into the truck and headed to the mall :-). After hooking up my new iphone (mother's day gift :-), we walked the mall, Carli made out with a new pair of shoes that Craig insisted on buying (i love when he is in these moods)---we had pizza right there at the mall, followed by Dairy Queen! Thank goodness mother's day is only once a year, all I did was eat!!!

Happy Birthday Codi!!

Codi turned 14 last Thursday in the middle of a crazy week of volleyball matches and Carli's 3 dance concerts. Saturday we celebrated her birthday at the Diamondbacks game...she invited a handful of friends to join us! We were fortune enough to use the Putz suite for the game--making it more of a party atmosphere :0)

After the game, the girls came home and made their arrangements for their Toilet Papering job...which Craig was not a fan of me putting him in charge of. At 12:30 am, as they were watching a movie, I noticed Codi was one of the only ones still awake...which is a miracle for her!! :-)

Happy 14th Codi--May you continue to always put others before yourself. The last 14 years seem like such a blur...so many amazing memories you have created for us...you make us proud with everything you do! Love You!!
